Launching church planting movements around the block and around the world

We hope all churches will consider how they can begin or deepen their involvement in church planting.  We want to launch church planting movements in these ways:

Planting churches inside the U.S.  The world is coming to our country for multiple reasons - political freedom, education, jobs, a better life.  The reasons go on and on. Many Americans have grown up without having any church experience.  Cities on our coastlines are booming.  We need to plant multiple churches to reach them and to stay in touch with the needs of our nation. We hope to see 1,000 new churches planted inside the U.S. in the next 10 years.

Continue to plant churches around the world.  Even though some places are said to be reached, there still may be a need for more churches.  Venezuela, for example, has been deemed to be reached with the gospel.  Yet, statistics show that only 8% of its national population is evangelical Christians. There is still a need for Bible-believing churches all over the world. We hope to see 1,000 new churches planted outside the U.S. in the next 10 years.

Church Planting Movements.  A huge portion of the world?s population lives in far away lands where there are very few Christians.  In places like China, India, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Iran, and Iraq, the Christian population is less than 2%.  We are praying for 1,000 church planting movements.  (A movement is a church that plants a church that plants a church.  This is more of a multiplication factor than adding new churches.)
